Los­ing a loved one is dif­fi­cult, and we under­stand the headaches that come with paper­work, bank­ing, and all man­ner of account clo­sures make mat­ters even worse. YEC extends our sin­cer­est con­do­lences, and we’re here to assist with prop­er han­dling and tran­si­tion of the account

Mem­ber­ship is ter­mi­nat­ed upon the death of a mem­ber. How­ev­er, if elec­tric ser­vice will con­tin­ue at the same address, the new respon­si­ble par­ty must estab­lish new membership/account, and joint mem­ber­ships will ini­tial­ly become an indi­vid­ual mem­ber­ship.

How to Noti­fy Us

  • Vis­it our office.
  • Call us to have our Mem­ber Ser­vice Rep­re­sen­ta­tives assist you.

A death cer­tifi­cate or cer­tifi­cate of appoint­ment is required to close the account.

Once the account is closed, eli­gi­ble cap­i­tal cred­its will be issued.
