Third Party Notification

York Electric realizes that monthly bills can sometimes be overlooked. Unexpected illness, inexperience with paying bills, or simply getting busy and forgetting are just a few of the many situations where a bill can be forgotten.

Third-Party Notification is a free service offered by York Electric that acts as a safety net in case a bill gets overlooked. This service allows a designated third party to be notified should the member’s electric bill become past due or subject to disconnection. When enrolled, both the member and the third party will receive notification by mail and/or by phone if a bill becomes past due.

A member can designate a third party at their own discretion, or a concerned third party may designate themselves with the member’s permission. Please note that providing notification to a third party places no obligation on that party to pay the electric bill for the member, nor does it guarantee postponed disconnection if no payment is received.

To sign up for Third-Party Notification, please fill out the form below and return it to our offices or with your electric payment.

If you have questions, please contact Member Services by calling (803) 684‑4248.
