Green Power from Santee Cooper and York Electric Cooperative is an easy investment in renewable generation. For as little as $3 extra per month, you can help minimize your environmental footprint by using solar, wind and landfill gas – and maximize the quality of life for those who walk this earth long after you.

This electronically signed agreement shall serve as a contract under which York Electric Cooperative's (YEC) member agrees purchase Green Power Blocks from Santee Cooper and York Electric Cooperative.

Residential Green Power is sold in blocks. One block = 100kWh or about 10 percent of a typical household's monthly energy usage. Each block will add an extra $3 to your monthly bill.

Renewable resources: more than 99 percent landfill gas and less than 1 percent solar and wind located in South Carolina. Participation in Green Power is voluntary by Santee Cooper and its customers. A customer may discontinue participation in Green Power at any time. Santee Cooper may later amend or end Green Power at any time. The Green-e Energy Program certifies that Green Power meets the minimum environmental and consumer protection standards established by the non-profit Center for Resource Solutions.
