Excellent progress is being made on YEC’s new South Lancaster 100 KV transmission line and the new substation that this line will feed. The new South Lancaster transmission line and substation are located on Highway 75, just off Highway 521, in Lancaster County.
YEC’s Vice President of Energy Delivery Denny Lynn says the new South Lancaster transmission line and substation will relieve a fast-growing area that YEC’s Van Wyck substation is presently serving and will keep power flowing reliably to members we serve in the southern portion of the Lancaster panhandle. “It is projected that these construction projects will be completed this fall and the new substation will be energized soon after. YEC continues to build for the future, with the aim that our members will benefit from the improvements we’re making to our system.”
