New practice in Indian Land will have YEC members beaming, too.
Carolina Smile Dentistry LLC – the name has a special meaning to Dr. Anjali Seth, DDS.
A native Indo-Canadian, she notes, “We love the word ‘smile.'” In fact, Dr. Seth says, everyone’s favorite facial expression influenced the name she chose for her first daughter. “That’s what Muskaan’s name means in my language, Hindi.”
Their second daughter’s name, Kashish, means “attraction,” she adds. Appropriately, their mother is all about helping patients sport attractive smiles at her new practice in Indian Land.
The girls played a role in their mother’s decision to open her own practice, says Dr. Seth, a dentist for 11 years. She and her husband, Ajay, started their family when they lived in Toronto, Canada. Ajay came to the Charlotte area to work for Time Warner Cable eight years ago. Dr. Seth and the girls followed two years later.
While raising Muskaan, now 13, and Kashish, 9, she worked as an associate dentist at the Union County, N.C., health department. “The kids were little. Now they’ve grown up a little bit – one is in fourth grade, one is in seventh – so I think it’s time for me to take care of the patients now,” says Dr. Seth, beaming with understandable pride.
Her sparkling new office at 8390 Charlotte Hwy., across from Indian Land High School, opened in early August. She and Ajay, who has helped with marketing, have invested in state-of-the-art equipment – delivered with a warm, personal touch aimed at making a trip to the dentist as close to pleasant as possible.
“This is a general dentistry practice, where we do everything like a root canal, crowns, bridges, fillings, dentures and extractions,” Dr. Seth says. “We see kids one year and up – all the way up to 99!”
York Electric Cooperative members will smile, too, when they visit Dr. Seth – because their Co-op Connections card entitles them to Healthy Savings Discounts. That’s because Carolina Smile Dentistry is part of the Humana Dental Access network, one of the health-care provider networks involved in the Healthy Savings Discounts part of the Co-op Connections program.
“Our clinic is enrolled with Humana and would be happy to have your members as patients,” Dr. Seth says, adding, “Being new, you don’t have to wait long for appointment times.” Now, there’s something to smile about!
