Osmose Utilities Services is conducting pole inspections in York Electric’s service area around the McConnells and Lowrys communities. Employees from Osmose will be going to each pole located in the areas highlighted in the map below.
Each crew will be wearing clothing that will identify them as being employed by Osmose. The trucks they will be driving will also be well marked. Many of the crews will use ATV’s or golf carts to move from one pole to the next. They will inspect and look for pole decay and treat if needed. They will also look for damaged, loose and/or missing hardware that is in need of attention. If the pole is found to be in need of replacement, they will mark the pole so that it is easily identified.
Some of the major roads they will be working on or near are as follows: Old Pinckney, Hord, Burris, Chappell, Able, Connor, Henry and James Wherry roads as well as Highways 322, 97 and 321.
